i was in the basement of #### and i knew i was the only one there because everyone else was on the 3rd floor and there was no other way of getting down to the basement, there is another staircase on the ground floor but there is no access to the basement because it is broken and unsafe. Anyhow, i was in the front when i heard a man say hello to me, it sounded like it came from the kitchen at the back i thought nothing of it at the time, perhaps someone was already down here when i came down. I went into the kitchen and saw no one, i heard no footsteps and if he did move to the yard or another room i would of heard/seen him (there is only one corridor and all the rooms lead out onto this, there is a big window that looks out on to the yard and there is no door that leads here). He sounded middle aged/elderly, friendly but that is all i can say.
